    • Yes! We needed a recruiting victory. Hopefully more good players are on the way. All you Debbi downers need to get a grip!

          • In his post-graduate year at Quality Education Academy he averaged 14 ppg/11 rpg/6 bpg.

            • QBall brings a totally different skill set than Pohto. He will be a great compliment whether he starts or comes in for a defensive presence.

I don't disagree with that but I would also like to see Kenny develop from a perimeter threat (30% 3-pointy shooter) to a perimeter weapon (say somewhere around 38% 3-point shooter).

Ok fine. But anyone who watched KP this year should have no questions that he is an outside threat, and will become a consistent 3 point shooting threat soon or at some point. Anyone who watches KP and college basketball can see he can shoot it. However, his inside game won’t come without hard work, and will prove to be more of a difficult accomplishment.

And having a 7 foot defensive presence in practice can only help him develop that inside game I'd assume

                      • I’ve posted this before but I’m a Wichita native who grew up in Wichita and did my first two years of undergrad at WSU. I finished up at Syracuse which is about as crazy about college BB as we Wichitans. And Boeheim has about as solid a program as it gets. For HCIB to get this kid away from his hometown is pretty impressive.

Of course, that means nothing if he doesn’t work out, but that’s a nice accomplishment as far as I’m concerned.

                            Who knows. It's April!

Are they better than those who have departed?
                            Better than Mo and Joe?
                            Jeezus I would hope so.
AND THATS NOT A NEGATIVE TAKE ON MO AND JOEI
It's more of a shake my head take on the staff for ever thinking those two could compete with AAC level.

The real question is can the newbies make a difference going against AAC players?
We know Mo and Joe could (or couldn't) do, so really no where to go except up!

                            That is all.
What AAC posts were you watching, outside of Memphis, that overwhelmed WSU on the block? Houston's? Did you get it confused with the ACC? You must have.

I'll let you know now to save you some heartache; neither of these bigs' is going to average double digits in points, 6+ rebounds and shoot over 50% from the field. And neither for damn sure is going to finish in the top 3 for A/TO performance on the team next year, ok? I hope they do, but, you know, don't hold your breath ref. Now, if you would have posted that our guards got outplayed all year you'd look a little smarter.

But, at the least, I hope they (the new bigs) are more effective than the slew (not every, but most) of P5 big men we all saw last month stumbling and fumbling in the post, forcing up shots, and making turnovers. There's just not a lot of Tim Duncan's out there buddy.

                            • SBT,
I guess you must have missed the Memphis a$$beatings. Both of those games should have had the white towel option active cuz WSU should have tossed it on the floor early in the first half.
It's not just the 5 position WSU was lacking last season, it was the 3, 4 and 5 slots where they got popped most games by even average AAC post play.

Maybe you are confused and still think WSU is stepping on the floor with Drake's SIU's and others of that stature.

Here is a tidbit you will find helpful (you might want to write this down).

AAC teams sign and recruit better talent that what resides in the Terre Hautes of the world. The have bigger recruiting budgets, bigger contacts and more experienced coaching staffs.
Until you recognize the different world WSU now occupies, you will continue to be confused how the big dogs of the D1 world consistently eat the smaller dogs.

                              That is all.
Above all, make the right call.
