I don't know anything about this young man other than what has been discussed in these threads. He is a local kid and wants to be here. I hope he is a baller. I just want to see effort and some fire. The few games where I saw that last year, I enjoyed, regardless of the outcome. If he will come in and give that type of effort I will be very pleased with this signing.

Was reading his bio from Drexel athletic site and it said his dad played football at Wichita State

I'll go ahead and just put this right here:

Even more encouraging is how Bell fared against top-100 KenPom competition last season, as he averaged 13.9 points with 57.1% shooting from the floor and 44.4% shooting on 3-pointers in seven full games against the elevated opposition, including a 20-point performance against AAC foe Tulane.

                Also this

Bell comes to WSU with championship experience after earning a starting spot late in his true freshman season, helping spark Drexel to win its conference tournament. In the 2021 NCAA Tournament, Bell led Drexel in scoring with 12 points against No. 1 seed Illinois.

Do we have a recruiting thread for TJ Williams of Heights or Eli Shetlar of Andover?

Not sure about this signing. Some are excited because he is local. I could care less as long as they can ball. His stats are pedestrian, although I like his shooting percentages. Not sure how well he plays defense. His steals are pretty low for a guard. Looks like a minor upgrade compared to Grant.

I think he is coming in as a SG, so I suspect Qua Grant's replacement is still to come. I would like to see WSU bring in a guy with 1-2 years left as the backup PG this year, then recruit a Freshman to be the third PG this season (slot in as backup PG next year). However, I'm not sure if that strategy still makes sense in the transfer portal era. Patience used to be a virtue...

How tall is Shetler? His dad and uncle were one year older and younger than me respectively. Dad is 6-6, uncle 6-3. Both were decent shooting guards in HS with the elder (and coach of Eli) playing some low level college ball.

He is 6-5 with silly range:
