  • Xavier Bell 6’4 G 2020 Andover Central (Verbal to WSU)

Here is a local name to watch. Xavier is a 6’4 guard from Andover Central. AC won the 5A state title, defeating undefeated Maize and Caleb Grill in the semifinals and then Basehor-Linwood in the championship. I know we have taken a look at Xavier. He has a couple of basketball offers so far, Denver U and SEMO so far and is getting FCS level football interest. He is off to a good start with KC Run GMC at UAA, averaging 7.5 points with 20 assists to 1 turnover.

I believe his dad played pro ball in Europe and instructs youngsters for a living. Very impressive guy.
Hope GM and crew are keeping their eyes on X........how could we go wrong with that name?

I like it!!! Welcome to Shocker Nation young man. Great to have a hometown kid. Had a good year last year at Drexel. 11 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 1.6 apg while shooting 49% from fg and 36% from three. 11.2 efficiency rating.

The good: Big improvements from freshman season. 3.5 buckets per game inside the arc. Shoots good percentage inside the arc.

The bad: Doesn’t really fill up a stat sheet. 1.1 assist to turnover ratio.

I will take a kid who wants to be a catch and shoot type over a dribble around thinking I'm a PG type.

I guess we will see how it translates to the AAC. Nothing too crazy exciting in the stats or bio.

We still have plenty of scholarships to fill. So still some chances out there
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

3 years eligibility left right? 49% FG and 36% 3pt would have been the 2nd best FG% (Mo at 50%) and the best 3pt% on this years team.

6 games last year over 17pts. High of 30

He could potentially have three years yes if he wants. Two for sure then a senior grad year.
