Taylor confirmed .. 3 years eligibility. Definitely seems like a really solid signing considering how many holes we have. If he ends up being good ... keeping him here will definitely be easier since he's local.

6 games last year over 17pts. High of 30
But will he have those averages against the Houston, Memphis, UCF....etc's?

      We will find out!

Probably not .. but with 8 scholarships likely available .. sure seems like its worth finding out.

You know what? He scored 20 against Tulane, shot 7-13 from the field, 1-1 3pt, 5-6 FT and had 4 rebounds

Nevermind, sign me up. We could have used that against Tulane. LMAO.

Seriously though he was kind of all over the place with his scoring...etc. We will see. I am not overly excited, but he could fit if he accepts his role and can play defense (which I am not sure he can).

              Like I said....we will see.

I don't disagree. Not everyone can be a superstar. A lot of it will depend on who else we get. Kind of feel it could be another Pleasant (obviously not the same position).....but who knows.

A lot will depend on his work ethic also. Hopefully he has some Wessel work ethic and can have an important role on this team. I am pulling for thr kid, especially now that he is a Shocker.

I don't know if the kid will be the most impactful. He's a local kid, so I'm excited about that. It's been a while since I've felt like we had some guys who were genuinely proud of being a Shocker. Hopefully having a couple local kids on the team can spread some pride on the roster.

They will truly understand the value of that Carlos O Kellys NIL deal...

Honestly if that is all he contributes is a since of hometown pride.....I wouldn't be upset with that. I agree with you there.

Well, and at least give good minutes from the bench to help give guys rest.

My biggest concerns is his inconsistencies. Had several games with 3+ turnovers, but plenty of games with less.

Some games would shoot lights out and others he seems to disappear and go O'fer.

Several games it seems he would be kind of foul prone.

Just the inconsistency of it all. I dont expect a perfect game from anyone lol. But he seemed to be hot or cold game to game.

He is a Shocker now though so I will hope for the best and hope he can find a role on the team!

Who knows, maybe being close to home will awaken something inside of him lol

Aren't Houston and UCF about gone? I think the question going forward is can he put up those numbers against UAB, North Texas, FIU and UTSA. And the answer is probably yes.

Not so sure about that either lol.

                          Hope so though!

6-4 lefty guard. Aubrey Sherrod v.2 anyone? A lot to ask but I hope the young man will blossom as a Shocker. The opportunity tor playing time is certainly available.

I would gladly take him over some of the slugs we've had on the roster.
