No, we are not a top 4 team by no means. This Seasons team did do 7 things that were impressive. 1. We Danced after 6 long years 2. We won the Valley 3. We were one of the best road teams in the Country. 4. We beat UNLV by 19 here just after they beat #1 North Carolina who did not have all of the injuries they had playing KU. 5. We beat Davidson at their house who beat KU in the Sprint Center earlier in the Season. 6. We beat down Creighton by 21 at Omaha 7. Coach Marshall is staying on and recruiting up a storm.
So when we are really playing, we are very competitive. Last Season, we waited 1 game too long to peak. That team may have very well won a few games at the Dance. This Season, we may have peaked too early. Our last 2 games, we did not find a way to win as we had done most all Season with 2 very beatable teams. So what is the missing link here? Are we only rebuilding this coming Season as we lost 9 solid key Seniors the past 2 Seasons? Do we have enough returning to combine with our prized incoming recruiting class to reload and Dance again? The Valley will be tougher, but will we? Stay tuned. I can't we to see the finishing touches of this recruiting class and watch it all unfold.
