  • If anyone remembers our Sweet 16 year we had ALOT of lucky breaks go our way that year like we did tonight. It happens.

Again though, those lucky breaks occurred against MUCH better competition.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

yup its the refs fault that the foul count was 9 to 1 in the first 6 minutes in the 2nd half

I would hope we all have been around the game long enough to realize that one game very rarely is a predictor of the next. Do you think KU's chin-hair win at home vs. USC is making their fans re-evaluate their season? Yea, I think now they will lose 5 games in the conference and finish 3rd. Come on...we got real fortunate to win tonight, but you can't discount what we did to have a 17 point lead at one point. We just need to mimic that stretch more than we did tonight in the second half.
Playing tough against a Top 10 team on the road, I'm fine with. Pulling a win out of our butt on the road against a scrub team, there's obviously a road problem.

And I honestly don't even know what KU's expectations are this year. If they're a National Championship, then yes, they need to reevaluate.

I seem to remember beating a terrible drake team on a Paul miller tip in.

Yeah they weren't all against MUCH better competition. In fact several were against weaker competition like the one against Drake. Coach Turgeon was quoted many times that year that it takes some luck and we finally had the luck that year.

I can't believe we're comparing that team and season.. but let's see how well this team does in a much weaker Valley before talking NCAA Tournament, let alone Sweet 16.

KU was favored by 17 vs. USC. It should have been a cakewalk with the student section playing the last 5 minutes of the game. Do you think today is any indication, or should be a consideration going forward? I think not. Each game is a 2 hour moment in time. Today's 2 hour moment is over...focus on the next game, which is a different opponent, different game plan, etc...Short term memory is a good thing...except with my wife. If anybody can help me with that I would be forever grateful.
                      :D

Some of them thought we fouled on the last play. Sorry for having to ask but not being able to listen, what happened during the last 7 secs?

LSU slipped on the ice...loose ball, TM picked it up and heeved it toward our basket...game over.

Those fans understand football well, not basketball very much.

LSU drove 3/4 of the court. TM was on their little PG. He pitpocketed him cleanly and chucked it up to the other side of the court to run off the clock.

They must have forgotten the first 2 minutes of the second half.

Toure Murry got a steal and with 1 second to go he just heaved it to the other end of the court.
