MSU has only shot 18.2% from 3. Leonard has had an awful shooting night. If they had shot well at all, they would be way up in this game.
Like I said I think those 5 are solid. Will they get some of that depth back for the season. I actually would like MSU to do well (right behind the shox as predicted) but can't imagine how they would all make it through the grind of the MVC without much of a bench.

Very nice showing by the Valley tonight! It just gets me all warm inside!
Watching the Creighton-ULL game, Creighton is not good. They are lucky they're at home and lucky ULL sucks very badly. They have no rebounding, no outside shooting, no FT shooting, just not good.
The more this season goes on, the more I'm thinking it's just a two-man race between us and MSU.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

If the Valley is going to be anything other than a one-bid league, there better be 2, or at the most 3, teams that REALLY create some separation from the rest of the league.
The Valley is going to have a lot of bad losses available for any team hoping to get an at-large bid.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

SWMO - they and the league really need that win. That was a missed opportunity.
I'm suprised that EU and BU won, but they help salvage what could have been a very bad night for the MVC.

The real :ohno: for me were Creighton and Ill St. They were both at home, they're playing two teams that lost a combined 40 games last year while they won 40, and sCUm is to compete for the league title.
Result: They both won by only 5. The Redbirds even had a 22 point lead early in the second half which dropped to 3 in the last minute.
Tough loss for Mo St which didn't play their best game. Even in losing, they may have made the best showing of any of the Valley teams.
Looks like Coop may be getting the Tigers turned around. He made wholesale changes in player personal late last year and after the season. I believe he replaced 4 or 5 senior-to-be's.
