You Shocker fans appear to have a pretty good team on paper this coming season. I for one though am not ready to mail the trophy to Wichita as several Valley teams may want to stake a claim to it before all is said and done. Heck, even our Sycamores think they are going to prove the prognosticators wrong and have a say in who finishes where and I too am betting they have a solid say before all is done.

I've said WSU is a lock for teh Valley title. UNI can wrap that sucker up and ship it down South.

I'm not denying that InSU will have a say in who wins the title. I fully expect teams like InSU to take some games against MSU and CU - and THAT'S why that trophy can be wrapped up, sealed, and delivered to 21st and Hillside.

I applaud your enthusiasm and agree, on paper, the title should be ours. :good:

However, the Shocks will need to prove they can do two things before that title is sent to our doorstep.

1) Win on the road. Last year, on paper, we should have won certain games on the road, but didn't and our dance card didn't get punched. This year, not only must we win those games, but beat some contenders on the road as well.

2) As SF reminds us with every post, this is the year we "become the hunted". How our players handle this honor will also be a big factor in reaching the team's expected goals.
