    No thanks.

We can get better programs with that offer.
I love this guy. I try and give some info and he just wants to be an ass. What a friendly town Wichita is.

I know what you are. You're two-faced with an insecurity complex.

No wonder you tend to your fields in Goddard.

Aggie Tech is currently on a "hot streak". Their overall program is not very solid. We have more tourney wins than they have in the last two decades. If we're gonna be accepting 1.5 for .5's, I'd rather give it a shot with a more "name brand". Hell, LSU is even more name brand than KSU. And that's why I'm perfectly fine with the offer that we accepted with them.

I like Martin but he deserves better than KSU and its bandwagon fanbase.

You just keep thinking that. Your predictions that Frank would leave and recruiting would fizzle have already been proven wrong.

Nice job of dissing many hard working Kansans with your "working the fields" crap.

              1. Like it or not, LSU is not more name brand in college basketball than K-State.

              2. After what we have done to LSU, it is unclear whether we could get the same deal from them again (or many other teams who saw us beat them).

              3. You claimed definitively that we could get someone better, not that you hoped that we could get someone better, so I ask again:

Who is the team that you know we can get on these terms that is better than K-State?

Trust me, if a good east-coast offer ever comes along, you can kiss Frankie goodbye.

Aw.. don't like the dissing? Kinda like how you diss this university and its city any chance you can?

                    Closet Kitty Fan,

                    1. LSU has done more recently in basketball than Kitty State has done in decades. Sad truth to our friends in Aggieville.

                    2. So? Should we have lost to them? Winning pays the price. It still doesn't mean we should accept offers from flash-in-the-pan type programs that aren't that much superior to us in the whole grand scheme of things. Up until around 2 years ago, WSU and KSU were considered equals at worst, in this state.

                    3. Oklahoma State maybe? I dunno. I don't have inside info.

Ad Hominem argument - nice. Why don't we skip the middle steps and just both call each other Nazis and get over with it if that's the kind of discussion you want. Or we could act like grownups and just stick to the issues.

                      1. On the point, what LSU did 4 years ago hold less weight than what KSU has done over the past couple of years in the eyes of the media and selection committee. Can we guarantee that KSU will stay at a high level? No. But since LSU has dropped off the face of the basketball earth, they can't be worse than the LSU situation.

                      2. Of course we should beat down LSU, but denying that it affects who you can schedule makes no sense. It is the perpetual dilemma of trying to schedule BCS teams. By and large, they will only play you if they don't think that there is any chance of you beating them. So you either lose the opportunities you get and get more opportunities, or win the opportunities you get and never get a whiff at scheduling them again.

                      3.
Oklahoma State maybe? I dunno. I don't have inside info.
Really, you don't have inside info? Then why did you make a definitive statement that we could schedule someone better than K-State? You wanting a better scheduling deal than this one is very different from us being able to get a better scheduling deal than this one.

I know that a Big East program has inquired about playing WSU at IBA - but that WSU would have to pay them. That's right, believe it or not.

BCScat, why should we play on your campus without a return to our campus?

Or why not just a rotation of IBA and Sprint?

KSU fans are knowledgable bball fans with a respect for history and for the game. It would seem to me a shame if a game vs KSU didn't include at one of the best arenas in the country

                          1. In case you forgot, LSU did win the SEC West last year. Of course when you just look at this year, the difference between the two schools is night and day. So far, Kitten State has zero proven staying power. Next.

                          2. That's great.

                          3. I don't have inside info, but I feel we could do better than that offer. I would take a 1 for 1 or 2 for 2 with KSU no problem. That's what we've done in the past, that's what we should do now. Because of one "flash-in-the-pan" season, you think we should bow down to the "BCS" Kittens who typically are being pulled along by their superior brothers (KU, OU, UT, etc.)?...

Sorry, I'm not gonna be duped.

                            1. In the two years we have played LSU they were 17-15 and 13-18 (total 30-32). Not a lot of wow factor there.

                            3. What you "feel" is meaningless. You complained about our soft schedule hurting us for an NCAA bid, and now that you are presented with a way to get much better RPI games and potentially signature wins on the resume, you don't like that either.

Would the decision about how tickets are divvied up at Intrust Arena and in KC affect how appealing this setup is? Sure. But you need to quit whining about buying out bad RPI teams then whining about having to leave Koch to play better opposition. You can't have it both ways, no matter how much you "feel" like there is some magical scheduling opportunity out there that Marshall and every other non-BCS coach is apparently unaware of.
