So you're implying the excuse that other league players have grown around him? Are you also implying that Murry has had a better year than his freshman campaign?

Not that I don't enjoy SF's admiration of himself and his self-proclaimed superior knowledge of all things basketball, but has anyone heard anything about GS's ankle. Although he played well, he was still gimping around in the second half.

1. Not me. Maybe 2nd team, but even that hope was probably colored by his better than expected freshman year. If one was to take his stats from this year, go back before the start of his freshman year, and say: "This is what he'll do his sophmore year", we'd all be pleased.

2. Very possibly. The Shocks are deserving of one more player in the 1st, 2nd, and HM listing. Durley is probably equally desrving.

There were some lofty expectations of Murry this year. Here's the first thread I came across when looking back.. All-Valley was dropped..

He wasn't All-Conference last year but he was All-Conference HM Preseason this year. I guess others outside of SN thought he was gonna be a factor as well.

I'm not meaning to single the kid out; it's just he's falling short of expectations in my and a lot of people's books. It's a bit disappointing. If anybody can't understand that, then they've got issues. I'm fine with leaving it at that.

It might be disappointing to some, but I consider you a realist, and I am surprised you see it that way.

I also thought Murry would lead and score a bit more this year. It hasn't happened but his defense was better than I thought it would be and he has been a stalwart in every phase of the game, in addition to be a superior young man.

There are big things in Toure's future, not just on the basketball court. Was he perfect? No. Was he a huge part in the 2nd place team's finish?

Glad to see you acknowledge that the problem was with your expectations not with Toure's actual performance.

Yes, I'm a realist, and I realistically expected him to be an All-Valley type player based on his strong freshman start. Maybe I shouldn't have expected so high so quickly. I guess all the huge, clutch shots he hit last year clouded my judgment.

Maybe, I should add that while overall "disappointing" might have been a little strong, during the final stretch run however, I think "disappointing" is a fair statement. Lord only hopes he can shake that connotation next weekend.
