Box score for the Wichita State Shockers vs. Southern Illinois Salukis NCAAM game from February 27, 2010 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.

    Odds and Ends:

    1. Who would have thunk that Garrett would be horsing in sh*t shots? Who knew?

    2. The Phantom is my new nickname for Toure'.

    3. I kinda think Demetric is gonna work out just fine.

    4. I hope KJ returns. There is a place for him on this team.

    5. I have no idea what constitutes a foul in college ball. I thought SIU got hosed on several occasions.

    6. I would not mind being in the same bracket with UNI. I fear Illinois State more than UNI.

    7. Bryce has a nice arm bar.

    8. Only 19 fouls and 17 turnovers today. I am sure the Shockers can do worse. See UE road game stats. This continuing crap will get you beat.

    9. When Garrett jumped center to start the game, I focused on his feet and the vertical jump. From Section 118, I am sure his vertical jump was not more than 12". If I had to guess a number, I say it was 8".

I am interested in the opinion of others, who might have had a better view.

    10. I thought the redshirts did a very nice job. None of them look intimidated. Of course, a 20 point lead helps a little. But still....

    11. Teague had a bad day at the office and the Shockers had a lot to do with it.

    12. Aaron ended up with 25 minutes. He didn't have a bad line.

    13. Twenty-two points off the bench. Not bad. Not bad at all.

    14. If the Shockers get the fouls and turnovers under control, they can win in STL.

Williams is playing with alot of confidence and letting the game come to him now. His court vision has improved. He's becoming a player alot of us HOPED he would have. Just took him a little longer than we would have liked with Clevin being a Senior. I still think next year the PG position will have to be divided among 2 solid players (no 1 person will replace what Clevin does for this team this year). Williams is definately looking to be 1 of the 2 for next year.

I still love KJ though and what he brings to the table..especially defensively and in the open court.

So is it true that we won all 17 games at home, won 1 out of 2 at a neutral location, and 5 on the road? Here is the concern. Since the Lou is a neutral spot, will the Shocks make the finals for the first time there, and then win 3 games in a row there? Yikes!!!!!!! I sure hope so!!!!!!!

Good not have asked for a much better final game to get the minds right for St. Looie, especially considering we played down two key players.

This is the kind of performance we have been waiting for. Hopefully it takes. There was even enough flubs (mostly turnovers) that the Coaches will still be able to point out that we can play even better.

Clevin you are the man and you will be fondly remembered by Shocker fans.

JT, Garrett and D-Will all with very nice games. I thought Cleving and D-Will together worked very well especially in the second half. Just some very nice guard work to get their teammates some great shots.

And how about the walkons plus Kenny maintaining the big lead over the final 5 or 6 minutes.

          Now go UNI!

          :good: :goshocks:

We, the Shocker Fans made sure Mr. Hannah knew we would forever never forget him. What a "shot-in-the-arm" he has been for our Program. He blew the Shocker fans a kiss, went around after the game, shaking fans hands and giving students high-fives--what a class act!!!!!!! On one his last plays, he passed up a 3, dribbled in and passed off for still another assist. Now THAT is a true-point guard!!!!!!!

A great game. Now THAT'S the team we all know can compete with virtually anyone.

Nice momentum builder going into the tourney. Can't wait to see how we do!

                      good game.

Never in doubt and the guys just dominated.

                      well done!

It deems productive to see Stutz and JT in the game together. When DW is in the game with Hannah, it is beginning to click as well with 2 point guards on the floor together.

well Drake loses at the buzzer to Evansville, so if UNI wins we will be the 2 seed and will play the winner of MSU/Evansville, if Ill state wins then we are the 3 seed and we will play In. St.

Wow, when's the last time we blew out SIU?

Impressive performance by the man, Clevin. Great way to send him out. Thanks for all the memories CH!

This is what happens when we utilize our inside game more. We dominate. We expose other teams. If we look inside every game like this, we have a good shot in St. Louis. That's a big 'if' though. Hopefully the team remembers this.

Durley was a beast and Stutz was pretty solid. Where'd MTXE go again?

Toure was noticeably quiet again today. Had some bad TO's in the first half. Never really got in it.

No matter who we get in St. Louis, we're gonna get a tough draw. MSU/UE or Indiana State are dangerous teams. I don't want anything to do with Indiana State. Evansville scares me but I think we know what to do from now on (hopefully). Despite a Bears sweep, MSU would be a tough test.

It was never in doubt because Clev sent a message with those first two shots. He basically walked over to the bench and said "with all due respect, this isn't going to be a game; this will be a shocker showcase today."
