But man can he shoot. He has a hair trigger and needs just the smallest of spaces to get his shot up.

He's the best shooter in the City League and it's not even close.
Maybe a 3 ball specialist. Many teams have them.

    Not promoting, just sayin'.

Sports Daily interviewed his coach at Heights....and had some real nice input.

His freshman year he wasnt the starter....at the first practice he reads all the defenses, hits all the open men, and becomes the starter. I believe they said it was his first game...anyway its at the Chuck and he leads the team to a come from behind victory in front of 5000 people.

Stands 6ft. 5in and is still growing...his coach says he can play the point as well as SF for us. He plays hurt...broke his hand and played in the 6A football title game and had a big intercepion and a couple of big tackles.

His coach said the hand still wasnt healed but he played basketball anyway...lots of good stuff.

Perry Ellis was brought up....hes been travlin to KU games, and I think he said a KSU game....has not come close at all to making up his mind

The part that I liked was his coach compared him to Graham Hatch as far as being tough and hard nosed. Also said over the next year and a half that he was going to put on some weight and work on his footwork because he knows he is going to be guarding quicker guys at the next level. When asked what his first impression of him was his coach said "that kid needs a haircut".

              The scene.....

Shocker fans are on the proverbial Shocker pier when one young fan sees a nice boat pulling up to the pier....and exclaims.."WOW thats one nice boat".... and old Salty shocker fan leans over and says...."Arrgghhh mattie thats not a boat that theres a Wessel"

sorry I had to get that out

Or, perhaps in a bad Russian accent: "Cap-teen, sensors picking up unidentified Wessel 100 kilo-meters ahead!"

This may have been talked about before, if so I have not seen it.

Jordan Cyphers out of Southeast who chose Utah over us is not doing all that well. Hasn't played in 9 of the last 10 games by my count. He could be hurt I suppose.

But none the less the games that he has played in he hasn't been all that impressive.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

I don't know how good he will be, but Frankamp is certainly worth watching. Anyone who does what he has as a freshman should be getting a look.

The Heights-North game was also one that showed how much more vulnerable Heights was when Wessel was injured that they are when he is healthy.

I think I will stroll over to Carroll HS and check the game out
Well Wessel is a hustler for sure looks for his teammates first. Quick first step. Carroll is up25 to19 at half thanks to Blake Bell.

i went and it was a close one BC had a lay up to tie with about 6 seconds left and blew it....

Evan was very good didnt score alot of points but he is the hustler on that team. He looked very good going to the rim...diving on the floor for loose balls..hes a hustle kid with alot of effort and pretty damn quick as well.

Dreamius carried the team tonight..and Blake Bell is a pretty damn good BB player.
