    • We weren't ready to compete from the beginning today - HOPEFULLY, LESSON LEARNED.

Anyone can beat anyone; especially on the road.

      • Well, that puts a pretty official damper on what looked like a promising season.

Both CU and DU absolutely blow in OOC and then get into Valley play and start coming around. That kind of stuff really messes up the conference, but there can be no denying that a lot of the damage today was self-inflicted.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I think we have had PLENTY of opportunities to learn this lesson. We just aren't going to learn it.

          • drake was way better than us today. they drove to the basket nonstop. got fouled.
            made layups.
they were hot from the arch.
they are better than their current rpi... but the selection committee won't realize that.

            this is a BAD loss.

                  • It just proves they aren't ready for a championship yet.

Major improvements this year, but that little extra bit of maturity to be consistent on the road is haunting us. We've definitely gotten better, but we aren't ready to be MVC Champs. NIU won't lose 2 games in conference play the rest of the season I promise you that.

They need to try and find a way to learn from this and keep trying to improve. The MVC tourney would still be a great way to make a run.

Very frustrating day for the Shox.

Good performance--not spectacular, but solid performance from Drake. They don't look flashy, but they sure make up for it in effort and execution.

                      • Anything can still happen, but it appears the only way the MVC gets two bids is if NI wins the league, and somebody else wins the tournament.

                        • We did not learn one single thing from last Saturday. Horrible.

                              • I've never seen a bigger difference between a home team a team's performance at home and away. Pretty startling.

They have won some road games. They just need to learn to win more.

Defense wasn't good the whole game. The only defensive bright spot was our press. It actually was effective and it would've been more helpful had our regular D been adequate.
