Yes, there will be a shuttle service. Yesterday I spent a couple hours looking over the 269 page parking report and master plan for downtown Wichita and for Intrust Bank Arena. It is very thorough and I am sure it will be executed correctly. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

2 things loom in my mind considering the arena:
1) Parking, will we have to hunt and not find parking spots right away, therefore, many cars driving around and around searching for parking before events, making parking a hassle to deal with.
2) Will the corners of the arena be like Koch Arena, giving it a 'bowl effect' or will they be more like a rectangle, decreasing the 'bowl effect'. To me, the bowl effect greatly inctreases the atmosphere, and makes the arena louder, and more fun for us.
3) A third concern, is the overall inside look the arena will have.

I think people who are obsessed with parking have never been to an event outside of Wichita. No matter the venue and no matter the city, there are going to be some delays and some inconvenience when many people attend one event. It is part of the deal. Parking will be available. Some people may have to walk a few blocks. Some people will learn to arrive 15 minutes earlier than usual. But it will work. Good events will draw big crowds to the arena.

Its not my government. I live in El Dorado which doesn't have the best government itself, so I could really care less about the elections or leaders in Wichita. However I am very impressed with the job Ron Holt has done with the arena. I am sure he will continue to do an excellent job The parking plan pretty much spells out word for word what would need to happen. It would seem to me that a two year old could just follow those directions, but I guess we are talking about Wichita. The mountains are calling, and I must go.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

A lot of these people in this town have no idea what's going on because they've never gone a mile outside of it.Deuces Valley.

If you were to look at the video you would see what the inside will look like. On the north side of the arena it will be more brick and darker colors to keep in theme of the whole Old Town theme. On the south it will be more modern and open. The arena is not really a true "Bowl" like Koch Arena because INtrust Arena has a hockey floor. The corners will be bowl shaped it looks like. The mountains are calling, and I must go.

parking should be easy:
go to old town or somewhere nearby for dinner and/or drinks before the event. Walk to the event from said venue. Is this possible with the location of the arena (I don't live in ICT so I don't know exactly where it is).

Go to the Germany restaurant near the Old Town Warren for dinner and then walk 5-6 blocks to the Arena. (Or go watch an early movie at the Old Town Warren and then walk to the Arena; let your gal pick the movie and you get props for a nice evening and a sporting event.)
If you want a very good and inexpensive meal followed by a longer walk, go to the Wichita Fish Company on Douglas and then walk to the Arena; my guess is that the walk is about a mile and, on a nice day, this would be fun.
Go to one of the clubs on/near Douglas, listen to some music, get in the mood for a good game and walk to the Arena.
Eat at home and ask the butler to drop you off at the entrance to the Arena. Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
