They had to get to the sweet sixteen a few times to get teams to schedule them.

They still have trouble scheduling, especially at home.

This past year, they played: Okie St., Maryland, Tenn (all in the Old Spice), Indiana, Washington St., Arizona, Connecticut, Utah, Tenn (again), and Memphis.

However, none were in Spokane, except Memphis, which wasn't played on campus.

Killer schedule, but they had to rely on what I think is pretty ingenious creativity. They play in a midseason tourney-Old Spice, and several other "classic" games: Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge in Indianapolis, Battle in Seattle in Key Arena, and Ronald McDonald House Charities Classic in Spokane.

I am now convinced Shock fans are in GM's corner. I really believe he is the guy that is going to get us back to being a consistent winner. When I started this thread I was wondering how strong Shock fans felt about GM. That really comes thru.

Now Let's go kick some ASS!

        GO SHOCKS!

So basically what you're saying is we need to get a decent sized tournament to be played in Wichita. Obviously the new arena isn't big enough for the big money tourneys, but why couldn't we get something noticeable?
