I don't know. But, I swear I saw Dana slip him a twenty during the timeout ... ;-)

Maybe some one else has posted this and I just missed it, but do we who the shotclock person was? Any reason to have a personal bias?

I hate this loss as much as anyone, but like Coach said tonight they are making their voices heard thru channels. Doesn't matter, can't replay the game.

I do feel that whoever was on the shotclock should never be allowed to do another MVC game!!!! If you really look at the last 5 minutes it was terrible. Was this person in a position where they couldn't see the game?
If that is the case then the Valley needs to say "sorry" we will change that!

How about it Elgin, I know you track these boards, just say there will be a change in where the timekeeper sits. That shouldn't take much effort.

Anybody know how much a guy makes for running the clock for a game?

I'd probably do it for less and do twice the job as whoever the clown was operating it last weekend.

What I don't understand is in this day and age of extraordinary technology, how hard would it be to put something in the each of the referees' hands that would allow them to start and stop the clock. I know there's something like this used by the Big 12, but it seems like it shouldn't be that hard to design/implement. Let alone that expensive. By not switching to this sort of system sooner, the MVC has set itself up for a situation just like this. Actually, we're all probably fortunate that it wasn't Creighton getting jobbed or we'd find ourselves the subject of an FBI investigation.

Wichita state certainly has been getting the short end of a lot of things lately by the MVC. A few I can think of are:
              • 1. The final couple of seconds in St. Louis.

                2. The weird situation which forced Stutz to take another shot after being handed the ball and making it. He made the subsequent one so it did not matter in the score - but it could have.

                3. Rolling the return game owed to WSU by a Mountain West team as part of the challenge. Essentially WSU loses a home game owed to them. Convenient how Creighton benefits as they lose a road game they would have been required to play.

Wondering why no one is mentioning the clock change that happened when Ellis got fouled near end of the game. If you watch the replay's shown on TV it looks like he was fouled at 9.1 seconds. When he went to the free throw line it said 9.1 seconds on the TV screen. Then suddently that switched to 12.2 seconds.

So does anyone know why they added 3.1 seconds on at that time? If that time had not been added Creighton would not have had enough time at the end for any additional shot.

                :(

Even at 12.2, how much time should have run off the clock after the missed free throw, scrum, timeout, Toure's GAME WINNER, subsequent panic run down the court and failed shot and then fumble out of bounds?

There simply is no way on God's green earth that all took place in 12.1 - 1.9 seconds or a net of 9.2 seconds.

To say anything else is pure lunacy.

From what coach Marshall said on the Coach's Show, he lobbied for more time on the clock because at the time they were behind like 2 points.

Just listened to a bit of the MattP show....his sidekick ADMITS that frame by frame it took 2.1 seconds.

But "THAT'S OK!". Within human error. Matt says it's perfectly ok to him.

Not just douchebags, stubborn moronic douchebags.

I know it was wrong but as long as my team benefits, it's ok by me.

Payday is coming, biatches. It will not work out so well for you.

They also talked about that they both thought the P'unk might have been jealous about Booker hitting that late shot that would have won the WSU game had it been in time.

That kid is such a cancer.....even Mike could never talk about even Jamar like that. I hope he stays the full 4 years.

To admit that the shot was not shot in time is good. Finally someone associated with sCUm admitted this..

                        but..

To then say who cares after admitting to it.. is well classic douchiness. Perfectly expected though.

We should all call Matt and ask him if his mother cares.

I would surely believe she does.

Seriously im feeling like an ass tonight

I know whenever I talk about HCGM's record at WSU I will reference this year as an over .500 year.
