1. SIU in years past has been very good at home, not this year. They are 3-5.
2. SIU has a short bench.
3. ShockerFever says we can't win.

For somebody who claims to be a realist he sure is wrong a lot. He would tell you he takes the negative view so that he won't be disapponted. He is not realist at all, just a loser. Losers think like this.

What scares me about this game is the physical play of SIU and how the refs may call the game. If Ramon, JT, & TM get into foul trouble early, we may be in trouble. Unless -- like in recent games here at home -- our bench picks up the slack. All of our players need to come fired up and ready to play!

My prediction is SIU plays a tough defensive game and gets up on the Shocks by 20. Then with 5 minutes left SIU has fouled out most of their team and only has enough guys to put 4 guys on the floor. We manage to send it to overtime where SIU is now down to 3 players. SIU gets down to 1 player, Dillard. WSU has now built a 20 point lead and pulls the whole team off the floor except for Murray. The two play the final minute for FOY.

I felt disgusted watching Drake lose and seeing the Evansville score last night. But, after starting 0-6, who would have thought we even had a chance to avoid the play in games. And (minus CU) there is no other place I would love to get a road win.

Last time we played them every one of their starters went for double figures and there bench only scored 2 points. We closed the gap to 1 with around 8 left than let it slide. Different story this time around!!!!

It's a win-win either way. If we win, I'm ecstatic as ever that we managed to avoid Thursday by winning in a place where we haven't won in a decade, and I am gladly eating crow.

And then of course if we lose, I'm proven right, which is technically a 'win', but it sucks in the grand scheme of things.
