To get things back on track…

 Grab some of your own friends…they are GA seats. Also, there are empty seats all over the arena, IMO the student section will always be more noticeable because students will usually cram into every seat they can as close to the court as they can get, leaving large sections at the top completely deserted.

What is it going to take to get the students to show up?
6 – 1 instead of 1 – 6…most students are young people with varying interests, social events, homework, and often work hours from 5 – 10pm. You really expect them to have a 1 – 6 basketball team on their radar? When we start winning the word with spread and they will start making the games a priority.

    1) They don’t make if for PC.
    2) College Hoops 2K8 was and still is the best college bb game made
    3) Most wouldn’t play a game where they continually sucked and never improved, just like most would not want to watch a team that did the same…
    4) You are too damn old…of course they would rather watch the real deal, they are just too young to have a strong enough connection with the team and program to show up for a team that was 1-6 in the Valley *Although MANY students did*

I vow to have many children and raise them all to be Shockers!

I'm bringing my (older) daughter, her husband and their kids (3 & 6) to their first Shocker basketball game tomorrow. (My son is a WSU student and will come on his own.) This should help reduce the average age of the crowd (very slightly). Happy?

My grandkids are big Shocker volleyball fans. I'm directly responsible for bringing 5+ fans to the UE game. I'm expecting Shocker basketball fans to reciprocate by coming to Shocker volleyball matches next fall. (Volleyball season tickets are "almost free" :D so buy some next fall.) Royal? 19SHOCKER76? Cold? everybody? OK?

I am only guessing, but I would say the average age (in the stands) at a Shocker MBB game to be 45-50. As I watch other games on TV, it is difficult to tell for sure what the average age at those games might be because student sections always draw the most media attention.

I guess my question in this rambling is this: Is the fanbase of the Shockers typical? My head says yes, but my gut says no.
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.
