Everyone seems really pleased with the crowd from the last game, however I had nearly 2 completely empty rows in front of me(sec.118 row 27) until some GA's sat down there. 2 empty rows!!! That's frustrating for me considering the huge CU win and another top of the league team coming in. I guess my expectations are just too high. I was disappointed the game wasn't sold out, and there was nowhere near the announced 10,300(I think) they announced.

So the age old adage about WSU being filled with uninterested, older students taking evening classes at a part-time load, really doesn't apply so much anymore.
Taking that into account when analyzing student turnout, certainly makes one wonder where they're all at.
Hell, my own worthless brother in law was the same way.
Anyways, that has to factor into the problem.

For those of us that could have went to whatever school they wanted when they were 18 but chose Wichita State because of its strength in a particular academic field, your comments sir are superfluous.
I knew plenty of students that couldn't hack it at K-who or K-suck and couldn't hack it at WSU either. Your statements could be misinterpreted to suggest that there is a different level of difficulty in the coursework. I can assure you there is not. Any KU or KSU dropout that subsequently succeeds at WSU is due primarily to the reattachment of their suckling mouth to their mama's nipple and not a lower learning requirement.
Good night and grab a clue!

I personally would like to see a policy implemented that makes it VERY difficult for a drop-out of one state university to "continue" his academic career at another unless he/she wants to wipe the slate clean (lose all credits) and start over.
I was always pretty mean to the students that wore other in-state school clothing or hats. I think an additional policy implemented that allows a student to have his ass kicked if he is caught wearing said clothing or hats on campus would be appropriate and would build school unity. It is extremely disrespectful and a direct slap in the face to those of us that chose WSU to be sitting next to a wannabe in class sporting a full ensemble of Walmart's finest "Crimson and Blue".
It would also be okay by me if a school tradition started that made cars displaying "inappropriate" logos or names of other in-state schools vulnerable to value-robbing modifications. Back in the day that used to really infuriate me, it still does. Considering some of the hi jinx I took part in during my youth, I'm fairly surprised that I don't have a whole sack of miscellaneous in-state items in my attic somewhere... :D

...8)At Ballard’s Sporting Goods in Aggieville, this season’s popular purple T-Shirt with the “Welcome to Huggieville” greeting had already been replaced with a newer line known as “Welcome to Traitorville.” “Welcome Back to Loserville” might be a more appropriate selection. - msnbc 4/7/07

The Student section was one of the "pies" behind the bench. They were not good seats and they cost $50 per ticket. $50 for one ticket for a WSU student in the mid to late 80s was a lot of money. That bought a lot of pitchers at the Flicker.

I'm saying that there were and continue to be a bunch of students that don't fit this mold. If I had my way, I'd kick those fools out.

Fantastic! I loved that play just a tad more than Eddie who nearly dislocated a half dozen arms (including his own) trying to get a player to the scorer's table to get Sasha's showboating butt to the bench.
Eddie later realized that you could be disciplined and have fun at the same time. Sadly, it was too late for us. His methodical way of breaking things down sometimes did not serve him as well as he thought.
