I think most people would have said the year after, like I would say Roy Williams started the year after we won the title even though it was in the same calendar year. I can live with not grasping your colloquial anomaly as the glaring example of my ignorance.

I agree most do go by seasons, you didn't. If I refer to the year you guys went to the sweet 16 most would assume that meant the 2005-2006 season, not the second half of that season and the first half of the following season. So when you said it had been proposed the year you went to the sweet sixteen I assumed you meant the season. I think most would have said the year after you went to the sweet sixteen.

I'm not fearful of ORU, UMass, Richmond etc. Upsets happen all the time but they only happen to teams that are really good in the first place.
