  • The official word on Ehimen.....

Bummer, but at least now we know for sure, and the speculation can end--at least for now. He seems like a great kid and hopefully he will one day grace Koch Arena wearing the black and gold.

This whole thing is so frustrating beyond belief and from the sound of that article we may still be sitting in this same position next year. Unreal.....

As frustrating as it is for us fans, just imagine the frustration felt by the coaching staff, and let's not forget -- Ehimen himself.

If he reads this forum, I want to tell him--WE WANT YOU HERE! Do what ya gotta do, and then come back. Hopefully by the time you do, we'll be contending for the Valley title.

What amazes me are the number of people who claim they have inside information, when really they have no clue.

Now that we know the circumstances, I must say the NCAA's decision not to allow a wavier sucks. It only encourages further corruption by Nigerian officials and some schools or their backers paying them.

Ok, so my conclusion in another topic was pretty close. Get his test scores, get him back to WSU.

If TRCC is willing to RS him this season, maybe we'll end up seeing him here for four years.

              Optimistic, I know.

Yes and Mantas came from there. I think it is a great placement with an outstanding coach.

he is fair game although we do have a bit of an advantage according to the article. I suspect he won't wear a shocker uniform once he is done at 3 rivers.

I disagree. I still think he will be a Shocker (in 2010).

The one good thing is that since he has attended classes at WSU he is considered a transfer meaning that he would HAVE to graduate from JUCO to attend a different 4 year school, but only has to obtain his exit exam scores to be eligible at WSU. This means he can return anytime to WSU but has to stay 2 years to go to another school. Now this assumes he gets those scores which I seriously doubt will ever happen.

The chances of him returning, imho and in my eyes, has gone from zero to maybe 30%.

Ehimen seems like a good kid and hopefully he will remain loyal to us, like we have to him.

We need a good contingent of Shocker fans to visit E.O. from time to time at his home games, wearing of course, as much Shocker gear as humanly possible. He needs to know that while he may not be enrolled at WSU in the Fall, he is still a member of the Shocker Nation and his absence is only temporary.

I think we have a good chance of keeping him because he is foreign and foreign basketball players behave differently than native basketball players. Many still understand the concepts of honor, respect, and loyalty.
