I thought it would be interesting to see whether the move to the AAC has affected how Shocker fans feel about football. In other words, did fans want football for its own sake or did they support it because they feared we could not move to a better conference without it.

Has the move to the AAC affected how you feel about bringing WSU football back?

The ironic thing is that we apparently are in the AAC because we have very strong basketball and no football and we happen to be a puzzle piece that fit very nicely with the unfinished puzzle the AAC had assembled. Perhaps a mega stroke of luck the way that worked out but somehow it worked out.

I would love to have football, but only under the right circumstances. Meaning a well funded, self sustaining program that does not suck resources from other programs especially men's basketball. That is the only way I would support the return of football. At this juncture, it does not look like it will happen in the foreseeable future.ShockerNet is a rat infested cess pool.

After reading the American -Aresco interview, There is talk about expanding the league in 2 to 3 years. WSU's Bardo and Darren Boatright said give them a couple of years and we'll see. It is our time to shine and show the American what we can do!!!SHOCKERS & AWE

It is just so hard to predict the future. Sounds like not having football may of actaully been a plus in getting into the AAC at this point time. Whether that becomes an albatross around our necks in the future is unknowable.

If Navy ever plays a football game in Cessna Stadium I hope it would be against the Shocks. But clearly that isn't happening based on Dr. Bardo and ADDB acknowledging that the interest is just not there. And when they say interest they mean Money.

But don't you think if there were any problems with the stadium that we would not use it for track & field and Special Olympics etc...?SHOCKERS & AWE

I believe Cessna was referred to as "structurally sound", meaning it's not going to fall down and isn't a threat to anyone occupying it. Football fans are accustomed to something a little more luxurious than "not going to fall down". I bet it still has the 20' troughs across from the open-door stool stalls in the bathrooms. Those were fun.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

One would think or hope that NIAR would help us build some aerospace Shocker stadium! After all we are still the Air Capital. I can just see aerospace pics showing off the stadium and the NIAR facilities.SHOCKERS & AWE
