I am enjoying (at least a little) the mournful, depressed demeanor I am observing in my KU co-workers this week. The ones who gave me crap about WSU losing to Kentucky. I think Phognet needs to set up some kind of 800 number for them to call. In the meantime, they totally deserve my extra-cheery smile.

One of my employees told me he would need three days bereavement this week. I said that I was sorry to hear that and I asked who passed away. He said he was mourning for the Jayhawks and that next year he'd make sure to schedule in advance.

My "classy & rational" Chicken buddy at work sent me an e-mail gloating that we deserved to play the Wildcats becasue of our crappy conference. lol.

Hell, the Chickens got 5 more tiles to go before they catch the Wildcats. They act like they have more than anyone in college basketball.

The Chickenhawks have more than most, but not as many as some, and not nearly as many as their bandwagon riders seem to think.

And, as someone else noted, James Naismith was NOT in Lawrence at the time he put up the peach baskets. The Flagship just hired him so that 100 years later their fans could be obnoxious -- gotta give them credit for being prescient, I guess.
