50/50 odds that the birds make it Sunday at this point IMO.

    • Aint no rest for the wicked
One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

      • Its all over but the crying for Evansville now.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

I was thinking just the same.

          • Another dominating performance by the 1 seed.
            Deuces Valley.
            ... No really, deuces.

            • Picking the guy who scored 24 points on 25 shots for player of the game is just stupid. I guess its also the Valley thing to do.

              • When you put so much reliance on one player like Evansville does it is tough to win, especially when that player is out of tune.

The thing is I am not sure it really needs to be that way for Evansville but that is the way Marty seems to like it.

Muller did a reasonably good job of spreading his minutes around in this game. Mikyle McIntosh is clearly not 100%. Playing 3 games in 3 days (if ILS wins tomorrow) could be a real challenge for McIntosh.

Howard was a difference-maker for UE today.

                    • Loyola definitely sold more tickets to Shocker fans than Loyola fans.

                      • Loyola's band has a sign that says "Beat the Wheat." I guess Loyola doesn't realize there are teams other than WSU in the Valley because that's the only team their fans have seen us play.

                        • Question for STL vets - where do you prefer to park around the arena? The last couple years we've parked south of 64 just west of Busch, which is cheap ($2-3 if memory serves) and a short walk, but I figure may be a little sketchy in the evening. Thanks!

Well I guess since that's the only Valley team to have never beaten Wichita State, I can understand the obsession.

Illinois State may be the 1 seed, but there's little doubt who everyone's Super Bowl is around here.

Actually, Loyola has beaten the Shocks 9 times in 34 tries. However, none as a member of the Valley.

When was the last time the Shocks weren't everyone's Super Bowl? Bean awhile.

If I had a gun with two bullets and was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden, and a Creighton fan, I think I'd shoot the Creighton fan twice.
