I have to say go Redbirds. IMO anything less than a re-match between the Shocks and the Redbirds on Sunday is not a good thing for the Shocks, for the Redbirds or for the Valley.

If WSU wins on Sunday, it doesn't matter which team we played.

Maybe it could. I doubt it, but maybe. The seeding at that point would be based mostly on the 3 in the left-most column, which gets very difficult to ignore.

It might make a bit of difference in seeding and it could make a difference in whether or not the Valley gets two teams in the dance and since everybody else shares in the NCAA shares the Shocks generate it certainly doesn't hurt o have another Valley team generating additional NCAA shares that the Shocks can share in.

Of course, the latter may become irrelevant if the Shocks join the AAC but that hasn't happened yet so I wil go with what I know today.

And if the Shockers would happen to lose in the Championship game losing to Illinois State is much less damaging than losing to another Valley team which would increase the odds of being left out altogether or being in but playing the extra game in Dayton.

They had like 6300 for senior night. Even the crowd for the WSU game was weak. I'm not sure there are enough people around to care. I'm actually a little surprised.
