WSU Versus Evansville Predictions and Pregame Discussions

Before the season started, I was pretty sure this team would make the dance. Our romp through the first five games had me convinced we could go deep into the tourney. And then the debacle in Atlantis brought my spirits back down to earth and I wasn't too sure we'd actually make the tournament. The way they bounced back after Atlantis got my hopes up again, and then the disaster at the IBA once again led me to believe we might be on the outside looking in this year.

The roller coaster continued with our continued dominance in the rest of our non con games and the start of Valley play, convincing me we definitely have the roster to take us into the second weekend of the tourney. The Illinois State game confounded me and all of the pundents didn't help.

But the way the Shox have responded since that 14 point loss in Normal with Landry emerging as the leader of this team, Conner finding his role, Zach putting the clamps on the opposing team's best threat and Rashard doing his best Evan impression has me believing this is a Sweet 16 team.

Shox will break 80 tonight and keep the Aces under 60.

You don't get off lightly when you beat the Shockers. Simmons is still paying from 2013 when he swept us. Shockers will win by 20 points with JR and Zach both scoring in their curtain call.

Not sure I understand all the hate. Can his banter with his son on the radio be grinding? Yes. Does he talk about KU and K St in generally good light? Yes. Wichita is the largest city in Kansas and has a lot of KU and K St fans here. I don't see a problem with that.

Sounds like Evansville has added some diversity to their offensive attack. They still aren't very deep but a more diverse offense would certainly make them a tougher challenge than they have been.

As far as the article. I think we've seen this movie before. Teams getting a "resurgence" against the bottom of the league.
