Did you see him right after the final buzzer went off. Standing there rubbing his fingers together doing the "money" sign. For cripes sake, they managed to win by 2 ONLY because a good shot reamed out at the last second. This is two games in a row they BARELY win and Hawkins (the asshat) plays it up for the camera like they are the best of the best. I am SO, SO GLAD he did not come here. He may be a decent gamer, but that is all I can say for him.

    • Remember when they came into Koch Arena and got embarrassed by 40 points?

      It was a good one!

        • There is a HUGE difference between Illinois state's 15-1 and WSU's 15-1

So WSU doesn't need luck to win games.

No info or update from me, but I'm going out on a limb and saying he's ok. It was a non-contact injury but I don't think it looked too serious.

THAT BEING SAID, if at anytime one of our players, who's been injured, lays on the court in pain while another player is flashing gang signs after the game is over without helping him up, I'll pull every dollar I can from supporting the program. One of them, ok, but both, too much for this guy.

It would be ok with me, if on Sunday in St. Louis, Shaq screened that bastard over the top of the scorers table a couple of rows.

Got it. Where were the Shocks? The birds did some hustling, got some close lucky calls, made some key shots, and needed all of those factors to barely escape at home with still another close win again. To me, as suggested on my post, on the road versus UNI, I predict they are ripe to lose and luck has a way of going against teams at times and usually evens out.

The Shocks can and will take care of our own games which is what we can help control.

Hawkins was still making the gesture in the handshake line with Porter right there. Some class.

                      • I am just appalled that the Valley uses RPI as the first tie-breaker.

WSU mopped the floor with ISUr in Wichita, and has mopped the floor with the rest of the Valley all season long; ISUr has not.

Forgive my ignorance on this issue, OK? It has been a LONG time since SIU fans have even had to think about such things as tie-breakers for the top seed in the tourney, but is RPI really that tie-breaker? That can be the only explanation for ISUr getting the nod over WSU.

If so, that is 10 kinds of jacked up. The tie-breaker should all be internal stuff first, and if that doesn't work out, THEN you bring in things like RPI and KenPom. Wow.

Well, not that it matters that much anyway. Or does it?

First tie breaker is record vs opponent. WSU and ISU look as though they will tie and split. RPI is the second tie breaker. The reason for this is to get teams to schedule up in the non-con. Most years is an easy WSU advantage vs ISU, but not this year.

                          • When you look at the valley this year, it matters almost ZERO which side of the bracket you end up on.

Illinois State going to the NCAA Tournament would be like having an ugly prom date. Yeah, you'd get to go...but you'll just get laughed out of the building.
