The way MSU played last night, I don't want to go to Springfield. That may be a really tough game. You lose by 1 at home to one of the top two teams in the league and a week later have the other top team in your house. That game with Ill State was a confidence builder for MSU. MSU thinking: If we came that close with one, we just may be able to actually beat the other.

And before that we have UNI (always a wild card) and EVille. Did I overlook it or is the EVille game not being televised?

Hard to tell. Right now, we just seem to be a different team than what I saw watching msu and ill st. MSU isnt completely horrible, but Ill St had no interest in getting the ball inside. Lots of perimeter shooting.

We can shoot from outside, but we seem to be the only team capable of pounding it in and getting baskets in the paint.

Our emphasis to get better is eliminating other teams offensive reblunds to zero.

I get what you're saying, maybe earlier in the season I'd buy that too. But this late in the season, a loss like that, imho, is far more likely to be demoralizing than uplifting.

MSU has talent, but they don't get after you, they have some severe deficiencies defensively and they are a weak team, both physically and mentally. And they're poorly coached.

They can really score the ball, and if you allow them to get open looks they can and will light you up. You win with defense though, and if our guys come out and get after them for 40 minutes (and honestly, if they do that, they probably only need 30) then the outcome should not be in doubt.

If Drake can beat Mo St, they will be tied with 6 wins and Drake will own the tiebreak after the season sweep. Both play Bradley, and MSU has WSU. Drake has LUC. A good chance for Lisk to play on Drake night and Drake to come to the party on Friday. That would spell the end for Lusk.

The suckage is more that 3-7 isn't a whole lot different than the bottom 4ish. They are all just about the same.

ISUb has looked much better lately. Maybe its the lesser competition since they have been done with us and ISUr for a while but I think they have figured it out a little bit.

Evansville blew a 10 point lead (last I looked) and its almost a tie game now with 10:00 left. No one is snatching that Thursday berth out of their hands. Its that resiliency that makes the MVC great

I'm very proud of the effort UE put out to secure this loss and earn a coveted spot on the Thursday schedule. They almost had the game won, too. That was close.
