WSU Versus Oklahoma Predictions and Pregame Discussions

Man am I excited for this one.

Yes, road games present "thinking and executing outside the box requirements" for road warriors to find ways to win big games. A win today is huge in my books and I see a close game on the horizon. In hopes our Defense is beyond stingy and our Offense hits on all cylinders.

I expect a dogfight today but the Shox should prevail. OU has played inferior teams other than Wisconsin, not sure what to make of UNI, and it's not like they've been crushing their opponents. I think we win this game and probably would even if it were in Norman. Another low scoring affair.

There is zero reason to think we won't get OU's best shot today. Coach Kruger is an outstanding coach, from Kansas and he'll want to show well today.

In addition, beat us today, go MAYBE .500 in the B12 and he's in the dance again, something he's done 17 times at 4 different programs.

They beat Clemson who is far from bad and they had Whisky down 8 in the first half and still led at the under 12 before falling apart late. The game was a toss up.

The UNI game was odd, as are many with UNI. The Panthers couldn't handle OU's athleticism at all, trailed 13 at the half, as many as 18 in the 2nd half and still 16 at the under 12.

OU got complacent and UNI got hot and Carlson went off. Still, OU was up 12 with the ball and about 6 minutes to go.

Then it went turnover OU, 3 UNI, turnover OU, 3 UNI, turnover OU, 3 UNI in the span of 100 seconds. If any of those 6 things doesn't happen, OU probably wins.

Also Dante Buford was suspended for that game and is starting now although not terribly effective yet offensively, and UNI was at full strength, something they aren't now.

And OU still should have handled the Panthers easily.

WSU will have to play well today. If they take the fight to OU, they can force turnovers and get great shots and then they should be successful.

If not, then it's going to be a battle.

Also excited for the game today. I'm also eagerly awaiting the fan makeup for this game. 50/50 would be hilariously awesome but I doubt it goes that far. Either way, the Shox will be seeing yellow and hearing from them today.

OU is definitely decent and Doc made some great points. I was honestly quite shocked to see the line come in at -6.5. It immediately fell to -3, not surprisingly, but has since come back up to -4.

So far this year, we haven't handled the P5 opponent on a neutral floor in the national spotlight well. We cannot come out scared and shoot 10% in the first 10 minutes. Need things to click, need to guard, and need to rebound. I'm certain Marshall will have the guys ready but I also know there's no slouch on the other side of the bench.

I think the Shox know how big this one is for at-large purposes and DON'T get scared this time. It's still gonna be a battle though:
