I was in junior high and yelled at Alvan Adams the whole game. Mind you I grew up 5 hours northwest of Wichita, so this was a major excursion for me. Riding in a car full of college co-eds did make the time fly however!
    We have to do an intervention if you rode down to Oklahoma sitting between your sisters. :)

      We can't rely on 45%+ from 3 point land in every game, all though it would be much easier if we could. Shaq needs to wear his big boy pants, stay out of foul trouble and put the sleeper move on the Schooners. JRS gets a few minutes in his last collegiate game in Oklahoma and hits one 3 and drops a Top Ten worthy dime to the Shaq-wall. I think we can run and I see some transition points in this game for the Black and Yellow.

          Damn. Prior to Tubbs I don't remember the Sooners ever being the better team.

              What is everyone seeing in OU that is worrying? I've only watched their game against UNI and they had 24 turnovers.

                Next two games are against top 50 opponents in KenPom. I think we can take OU, even on the road. They are dependent on a few guards, and aren't as deep. Post players aren't very skilled on the offensive end, but attacking the rim could be challenging.

                OSU will be tougher, so it's good we'll be at home for that one.
                You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

                .....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

                  I don't know much about OU but I know they are very athletic. Lattin is big, strong, and athletic. I hope that Shaq accepts the challenge. Lattin will be one of the only times Shaq is equaled athletically. I hope he is ready but not so excited he immediately fouls.

                    This is a good example of why we start Nurger over Shaq. I am almost 100% confident Shaq would pick up a foul within the 1st minute against a guy like this.

                      Shaq (in my memory) is about a carbon copy of Lattin's grandpa.

                        That's why I like Nurger, he plays solid defense while not taking a bunch of silly fouls. He seems to be able to wall up and force you to shoot over him as well as anybody I can recall, most centers can't seem to resist the temptation to lean forward.
                        Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

                          It's nice to have confidence in a player like Nurger, although Nurger at his best isn't Shaq at his best. You may be correct but I also could envision Shaq subbing in for Rauno and getting 2 quick fouls because he is trying to prove too much.

                            Offense Shaq > Nurger

                            Defense Nurger > Shaq

                              Shaq = blocked and intimidated shots
                              Nurger = solid defense
