I've watched the video a few times, and it certainly doesn't seem as crazy as it did the first time with the initial shock of it all. There were many things that contributed, but it seems so obvious that 3G was trying to get in this team's head. Much like a drill instructor going apeshit on recruits for that psychological breakdown that is necessary to turn civilians into warriors. The referees could have been doing a better job for sure, but there was a lot of lackadaisical play and we were getting beat by teams we have no business losing to. 3G is not a dumb man. He knows the perception of what these actions are going to bring especially when there are those in media like Jeff ******* who are going to talk **** regardless.
It'll be fun looking back at this thread next April. It'll give us some good laughs for those of us on both sides of this debate. I think this trip, as crazy as it has been will have been invaluable when its said and done.

I have three things:
1. Were GM's actions over the line? I'll roll with what he said, "perhaps."
2. The internal fire that was on display is vital to his success as a coach. You can't praise and simultaneously hate on his passion/pride/intensity just because you wouldn't "go that far."
3. Would you rather have to deal with this? Or something similar to what Baylor football is dealing with? Some verbal jabs were thrown, but NOBODY was physically harmed.
Coach Marshall is a fighter. He will be the first person to tell you that. If you have a problem with this behavior or how it reflects on Wichita State University, please go find another team to root for.

Lynn says:
On Wednesday morning, Lynn Marshall, Gregg Marshall’s wife, said the episode was really nothing. She said her husband didn’t want to comment on it anymore, but said he felt he had been getting bad calls from the referees all week and had had enough.
She said she and daughter, Maggie, were taking Marshall shopping in Montreal on Wednesday to help him “decompress.”
“We are apologizing to Montreal by stimulating the economy today,” she said.

Was Marshall justifiably angry? Absolutely. But you cannot do this. It's all over social media and ESPN, and it's a national story. It doesn't reflect well on our university or our program. Doesn't mean I don't like Marshall, but it's something you can't do."In God we trust, all others must bring data." - W. Edwards Deming

I also think it's a stretch to say his action turned WSU's performance around for that game given the trend line was already very much pointing to WSU.
As Proshox says above, it is possible that he taught a young team without natural leaders that you have to bring intensity at a level they don't comprehend for every minute of every competition. If that's the tool he took to illustrate a point and get a light bulb starting to flicker, I'll take it as a WSU fan. That still doesn't make it a reasonable course of action for basically all others who do the same job so I don't expect any objective observers to find the behavior at all acceptable.
