One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

            Meaningless.

But as I recall it was something like 107-58. They kind of let up a bit after they got the 50-point lead, which was fairly early in the second half.

            • I just got back to the hotel. I think the radio problem could have been at their end. The shot clock kept going off too. It looked like to me that is going to be one fine team. They gave up the ball more than they should but... It looked like everyone got tired at the last but the tempo was a lot faster than last year.

I think this is a very exciting team. If nothing else, because of the fresh blood.

Ddin't get to see Landry at all last year, looking forward to watching MM progress, Morris become a featured player and CF do his thing. Still looking for Brown to try and become a highlight reel, but he may again relegate himself to a solid role player, ceding to LS, MM, CF and Morris. Then newcomers Willis and Smith.

Really looking forward to the season. Seems like, even though we lose Stars, we have lots of talent ready to step up.

Best stat is Conner going 8/10 fg

                        • Mildly interesting, Conner with 3 TO's after having only 5 all of last year. Those there, is he trying to be more aggressive? Huge caveat, I know, this game was barely a scrimmage :)

I guess he has to get ready to play a few meaningful minutes as a backup, but he's not about to take minutes from Shaq or Willis.

Shaq had 13 in 10 minutes on 5-8. It wasn't fair or necessary to keep him in, forcing more minutes for others.

To follow up on an earlier comment, Conner did have 3 turnovers (sounded like only one was bad) but zero turnovers. I want him to hunt his shot more, but he's going to have to get others involved too.

Searching hard for negatives I guess after a 50 point drubbing.
