Yes, there was a conference. Coach Marshall was upbeat, but not over the top Dick Vitale. He focused on the positive. I do not remember any negative comments.

IIRC, Shaq’s third foul was the killer; he arrived to the spot a second late, stuck out his belly and gave the offensive player his best 'Fat Albert' impersonation. Unlike the first two, that was a ‘silly’ foul and something he needs to correct.
