    If right=safest, then certainly. I don't remember saying to myself, "wow, he threaded the needle on that pass," I do remember saying, "that was a good pass, Conner." The team is 1.46, over all. We have 10 players with 1.0 or greater ratios.

          For every wow pass LS makes he misses three good passes that will help break down the defense. Passing has a purpose other than making an assist. We have a bunch of players who fail to recognize the value of swinging the ball quickly.

            All those missed passes ( just how does CF passing to somebody 30 feet from the basket help break down the defense?) and yet he leads the team in assists and has 1.3 assists for every one of CF's assists, while playing just 18% more minutes.

              While I'm sure there are times we could swing the ball faster, it seems odd to complain about the ball movement on this team. It's much better than it was last year.
              You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

              .....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

                Its still not where i'd like to see it. There is still a lot of hesitation before making the next pass a lot of the time.
                Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

                  This!!!! For as much as I loved/love Fred, we often got down to 8 seconds and sometimes another person had not touched the ball...

                    Last year we were one of the worst passing teams in CBB. There is a reason our offense was bad.

                    This year the ball moves faster. There are still a significant number of passes that our 1.5 seconds late. Many of those are clearly the right pass, but people look the passes off/hesitate for reasons that are hard to explain.

                        Fred is probably my all time favorite Shocker. I understand it was his senior season, but Fred often played an elaborate game of keepaway from his younger teammates. We probably won more games last year because of it and we are probably winning fewer this year because of it. Live for today, you can't take it with you, etc...

                              Nice. I am DeiterE73, and I had missed his response. Thanks for posting. And I love his response. I don't always agree with him, but this is a pretty well thought out response.
