30-4 gets you an 11 seed? At Wichita State? LOL. I think Marshall's Winthrop team in 07 had a worse record and got an 11 seed.

Honestly, I would take Palms prediction of an 11 seed over Lunardi's prediction of an 8 seed facing Kansas round 2 that came out minutes ago. I am tired of facing 1 or 2 seeds in the second round. We have done OK against those seeds (wins against Gonzaga and KU with a loss to Kentucky) but an 11 seed has better shot of winning a few rounds honestly. You will play a 6 seed and 3 seed to make the Sweet 16.

As a note: Lundari's page says he's updated his bracket today (maybe that was this morning). WSU dropped to an 8 seed, IL St up to an 11, Maryland up to a 7 after beating Rutgers earlier in the week and then Mich St, Miami up to a 7 for losing twice this week on the road, and Creighton still a 7 after losing to Marquette which was their 3rd loss out of 4 (beat St. Johns at home) or 7 of their last 12 which ever you prefer.

Ok, so this basically still stands except WSU won the MVC Championship (no help) and Miami dropped back to an 8 with South Carolina moving up to 7 after losing @ Ole Miss and losing 4 of their last 6. IL St "moved" to the last four in 11. Did I miss anything?

I did not word that well. In that case, we were the 1 seed and they were the 7 seed. I do believe an 11 seed has an easier path to Sweet 16 vs. a 7 or 8 seed though.

It is kind of fun when you start looking around brackets and keep finding interesting rematch possibilities, one way or another. I guess 14 games in 5 years will do that.
