Isn't part of the scholarship deal with the men's basketball players is that Wichita State provides them with room and board in addition to tuition and books? I assume they will be taken care of. Anyone who wants to help can just make a cash contribution to the Wichita State basketball program or athletic department in general. I have a feeling they will be taken care of.

This is why the NCAA sucks. They'll allow schools like UNC to get away with BS classes that their athletes don't ever attend for decades, but you can guarantee they'd be all over fans helping out some kids actually in need like stink on ****.

I have to say that when I was in college (living in a regular dorm, not off campus or with a bunch of jocks) the idea of renter's insurance never even occurred to me. So I'm not surprised to hear that even nowadays, with insurance a bigger and more heavily advertised deal than in my ancient collegiate times, a kid wouldn't know about it.
I'll bet Markis knows about it now, though.
