I wonder if the Shocker coaching staff has prepared a Ranked Order table for current and prospective roster members for next years team? The following table reflects my thinking; note IMO Austin Reaves and CJ Keyser are freshman with comparable skill sets Landry presented to the Shockers this past season.

Big question mark by Allen.. I'm sure he's gonna be a great role player but putting him ahead of Shaq is downright blasphemy. Willis I expect to be a more athletic version of Darius Carter (which is saying something). If he turns out to be anything like Carter we'd have a pretty formidable big man duo in Shaq/Willis

As I mentioned on the TT2 thread his leaving does not rule out the possibility of 3G adding a big man to go along with Shaq and give him more flexibility on how he would use Willis in which case Reaves may very well still end up at Sunrise for a year.

Why on Earth would a kid (Reaves) who appears to be the genetic mashup of Pistol Pete and Jason Williams want to play at Sunrise and why on earth would we let him? He strikes me as a much more gifted Odum with a full set of H. Sapien alleles.

No blasphemy regards SM being paralleled ranked behind Peyton Allen. Allen proved himself at TAMU and this past year play on the scouting teams (recall FVV stating that he played as Balantine and Beane, difference being that Peyton did not miss any shots). SM has demonstrated skills but has not demonstrated that he can play an entire game or for extended minutes. I still ranked him in the top 5, which recognizes he will be a starter. Zach Brown is the player who should be concerned about losing minutes.

Point Guard is the Shockers number 1 need right now as LS and CF are not true point guards.

I pray that his passing skills and BB IQ are in the FVV realm because IMO we already know he is more athletic than FVV. If this proves the case and the Shockers duplicate the excellent coaching afforded FVV, the future at Point Guard for the Shockers could enter another universe post-FVV.

We bring in a freshman big who is unlikely to contribute from day 1.

We bring in a Juco big who adds another man to what will already be huge senior class in two years.

We bring in a one year Anton Grady type graduate big man.

The third seems to make the most sense but I'm not sure if any such players are floating around.

IMO at this point in time only the Shocker coaching staff knows; but IMO from the information we have at hand, EH is our best hope to meet the perceived Shocker need for an impactful big.

I also think we should root for EH to successfully resolve whatever issue(s) he exhibited this past season that kept him at the end of the bench and off the court. Admittedly I am biased and have rooted for EH from his first day as a Shocker

I don't think Zach Brown, Rashard, or Shaq have reached their ceilings yet.

Coach Heiar said on Talk Angry that he thought Shaq would make the biggest improvement from this year to next. I agree if he can stay on the court long enough that Shaq could be an absolute beast.

I'm excited to see how these guys progress the next couple of years.

I'm not certain I really understand the question.....if it's even directed at me.

That being said, I'll say 2 things. First, discussing ranking the roster is kind of silly at this point. Even with removing Ty, there's nothing saying that's going to be the roster next fall (and I'd wager it will in fact be different if for no other reason that since HCGM arrived it's always changed from this date).

And 2nd, even ignoring the issue of trying to rank a guard over a post, which is all but impossible, the only thing you have right is Zach Bush.

And I don't know where I saw it or who said it, but please for the love of all that's holy, please don't compare Landry to Austin right now. That's just not fair, to either young man.
