I think it would be funny if Roy retires and UNC hires Self. Those jayhawkers would have a total meltdown.

if it were not for Chalmers' miracle shot, Self woulda been fired already

I really like 'Just Sayin' on Saturday mornings, but rarely in a position to listen.
I did like the father/son banter when it seemed real. Now it seems contrived and almost forced. Plus the Eagles suck.

Along with Memphis shooting free throws like Shaquille O'neal.

Merely using your quote to preface the statement.

Don't forget that the NCAA changed the rules this year regarding players declaring for the draft. They can declare, partake in the workouts/camps but as long as they do not hire an agent, if they so choose, they are free to return to school. Its a good thing for the athletes as it allows them to see where they truly are and get good feed back. It has to make it tough on coaches though, not knowing who is in fact coming back. Honestly, every player that has a legitimate dream at playing pro ball should declare, just to see where they stand, imo.

I had forgotten about this. I agree. Puts coaches in a tough spot if they have NBA level kids playing for them.

Hey, why not? They aren't getting Marshall, and their fans apparently think they can bid as high as they need to. Self is the man!

Actually, though, I think barcl's idea about Carolina is even better. Only problem there is, what happens if by some weird quirk of chance the NCAA actually does the right thing and comes down hard on them for their decades of academic fraud? St. Roy won't want to be around for that, to be sure -- but it's hard to imagine anyone else who would either, except maybe an up-and-comer hoping to show what he can do in tough circumstances.

Kentucky is doing exactly that. Every single member of the team, including the walk-ons, are entering the NBA Draft. Calipari encouraged them all to do this too.

All the KU players who have declared except Diallo have signed with agents. So no turning back now.

At what point in time do they have to pull their name off the draft board if they haven't hired an agent and want to go back to school?

When Coach Self was hired, he said that he would never leave K.U., unless he was fired.

Given the flight by Coach Williams, those words were most welcomed by the fan base.

They talk b12 much more than the shockers.

Maybe it's just me, but sometimes it seems like there is some pandering going on.

The only player from KU that has declared for the draft and NOT hired an agent is Diallo. The other early entrants are hiring representation which means they are gone.

                              From Wikipedia...

"The NCAA changed its withdrawal rule again in 2016, effective with that year's draft; its withdrawal deadline is now in late May, specifically 10 days after the final day of the annual NBA Combine."
