In order to do that, the criteria I think you need are players that play well against teams that went to the NCAA Tournament.
WSU has 5 returning players that scored in double figures this last year against NCAA Tournament teams.
C. Frankamp- 13 Pts. Seton Hall, 10 Pts. Arizona
E. Hamilton- 14 Pts. Iowa
Z. Brown- 10 Pts. Iowa, 14 Pts. Utah
S. Morris- 11 Pts. Iowa, 10 Pts. UNI, 12 Pts. Miami
M. McDuffie- 13 Pts. Utah, 15 Pts. UNI, 10 Pts. Arizona.
Those 5 players would be my keepers.
WSU has have 4 new recruits coming in.
WSU had one medical redshirt and one transfer.
If my math is right, WSU can afford to keep 2 players that I didn't mention
in the 5 keepers.
I understand that scoring in double figures is a subjective criteria, but you have to use something.
Also, there are things that you would need to know that we can't know on which players would be best to keep.
Some of thhose would include:
1. Academics
2. Team Chemistry
3. Extra work in the gym
These are things only the coaching staff really knows.
WSU has proven that it can reach the round of 32.
We need to improve on that performance.
Last, but not least, WSU needs to learn to coexist with the MVC and stop going to war with them
at least until after we leave the conference.
So, I looked up the box score. He did score 14 points. In 17 minutes. Was the leading scorer.
Here is my question. If Eric Hamilton got 14 points in 17 minutes against Iowa, why did he not get more minutes in subsequent games?
I would like to see him at the 4. I think he would be a real handful."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

WSU plays a 4 out and 1 in offense and you need players that can handle it, slash, and shoot the ball. Markus has a complete package for the role he plays. Post him up if he has the best mismatch at times, but I have not seen a back to the basket post game from him accept a few high light clips from high school. The only difference between the 3 and 4 is who you guard on defense.Livin the dream

I said on a regular basis WSU has been to the round of 32.
I didn't say WSU has never been to a Final Four or Sweet Sixteen.
No confusion here!
- a Final Four once per graduating class
- a Sweet 16 every couple years
- the round of 32 with rare exception
- the field of 68 without exception
...I'll be one happy camper.
FYI... the above describes WSU the past 5 seasons. I hope the Shox win it all the next time they reach the Final 4, but beyond that, I'd love to go on repeat for the next decade. No improvement needed.
