Arizona opened as a 1 point favorite, but the line quickly moved to a pick-em. It is a 136.5 O/U.

Texas is a 5 point fav over the UNI guys.

Shox beat anyone except elite opponents playing at the top of their game if they shoot 35% from 3. (37% last night + mediocre Vandy not even playing their best = 20 point win)
Shox play nailbiters shooting 30-35% from 3.
Shox lose from here on out shooting below 30% from 3.

The defense is as reliable as the sun rising in the east. Hit shots, win. Throw up bricks, lose. It is nearly that simple now.

I'm going out on a limb and predicting a 40%+ night from 3 and a win over Zona by 10. Last night's shooting was better, but the Shox are due to finally find a goal without a lid. Last night wasn't it. Maybe such a goal exists in Rhode Island.

This info with AZ, they may not have this figured out yet.
Vandy lost 5 games this year despite hitting 10 3's at rates of 40+%!
        10/21, 48%, lost to Baylor
10/23, 44%, lost to LSU AT HOME!!
        10/20, 50%, lost to Arkansas
10/23, 44%, lost to Mississippi St
        10/25, 40%, lost to Texas A&M

WSU did the same just once, and it was all the way back in December in a true road game at Seton Hall. The correlation, and probably causation, of losing and atrocious shooting is much stronger with this Shocker squad than with most teams. Apparently you were too busy being a jerk to notice the substance of my post.

Shocks win by 12. Zona doesn't break 60.

It was interesting to read the game thread on the vandy
              And Arizona boardS.

Some of vandy fans take was they were obvious the better team clear to the end. They lost because of the refs and because they could not hit shots.

Arizona fans take was it was obvious neither of these teams belong in the tournament and WSU will not be much of threat. They need to focus on Saturday game (I guess they have they YMCA reserved).

Hopefully former drake coach phelps will give Arizona good advice on how to lose to WSU like mueller did for vandy.

Another off night for the opposition against us. Weird how that happens alot, must be a coincidence

The Vandy game pretty much confirmed what we already knew. If Fred and Ron are left to carry the entire load we have and will struggle. If the supporting cast can chip in at an efficient level the Shocks can be very good.

Anyone have a good idea what time a Saturday game would be?*

Hopefully Arizona's coach feels the same as the fans. Afterwards perhaps he can commiserate with Self on the perils of taking the Shox lightly. Bring it bitches!

Sean Miller, IMHO, is an excellent coach. Both teams will have their hands full tomorrow evening. Ultimately, I feel good about this matchup, but it'll almost certainly be closer than last night's contest.

Based on the time of the games being played tomorrow, my guess is somewhere around 5-6 Central Time.

And such a large sample size to, a whole 6 games out of 10k plus D1 games played this year. Seems solid to me

You can talk about the Science of Shooting all you want but unless your are a confident shooter you will not be a consistently good shooter. Science can help you develop that confidence but success on the court has to reinforce it and failure on the court can erode it. Hopefully, the 2nd half of the Vandy game will get our guys back in a confident frame of mind when it comes to hitting shots. We simply can't afford any more UNI performances

The Shocks weren't great in the 1st half against Vandy but I think the long layoff and Vandy's size contributed to that. Once the Shocks got it going in the 2nd half they looked great. Knocking down shots provides a nice reward for the effort the Shocks consistently give defensively and on the boards.
