As much as I hate what the P5 Selection Committee did to make the tourney so much less than it should have been, I don't hate our bracket. Yes, we have to win an extra game, but there's not a doubt in my mind that if we play as well as we can (Utah comes to mind), we are very capable of pushing our way into the Elite 8 and possibly beyond. The only question is can we find the magic we had against Utah for the next 7 games? We probably don't need to play THAT well every game, as our defense could force some teams into bad nights, but we need to be able to play that well every game."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."

IMO kenpom is the best metric for evaluating the intrinsic value of a team. If you don't think so, ask yourself this question; would your rather play the AP #11 team with a kenpom rating of 35 or an un-ranked team with a kenpom of 11? Obviously there are many other variables to consider, but I place more value in kenpom than other ratings, especially human ones.
If you look at the kepom data for this tournament, there are some things that really jump out to me...I have highlighted them here.

Help! I need somebody!
I am not too interested in bracketology, so I need some help.
What is the NCAA's rationalization for having two teams play for an eleven seed. It seems to me that if both are worthy of an 11 seed, then one team would be given an 11 seed and the other given an 11 or lower seed. Both would qualify for the tournament."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

I think that they are both 11 seeds because the play in games are an extra round and it keeps the seeding numbers in the brackets nice and neat. Otherwise, you would have seeds 1 though 17, but the seed positions for 11 through 17 could be a little wonky from regional to regional.

I heard a good argument on how lame it was to include Syracuse in the field.
The NCAA suspended JB for nine games. Punished for running a cheating program.
Then, they state they took into account that the team played those games without their coach.
So..... The same organization that punished a man, throws that out the window when judging that man's team?! *All the LOLs*The Assman
