The only person in this area that gives a Missouri Valley team any credit is Bill Self. Everyone else around here wonders how a team like the Panthers who haven't "Beaten" anyone could beat us.

That being said, VanVleet had an, honestly speaking, terrible weekend.

It's just unbelievable how predictable it is.

In general, I absolutely agree. You can can good open looks with good ball movement around the perimeter OR by your PG
penetrating enough to draw a double team and kicking it out once the defense collapses on him. FVV has not been kicking
it out when doubled nearly enough opting instead to continue a high risk drive or stopping among the trees with tall
defenders swarming over him. He has to kick it out sooner when there is nothing there for HIM. One or two quick passes
will then open up a three point shooter with a GOOD look. We do have the shooters most days. We need more from
MM and ZB than deep corner threes and we need CF with more attempts.

Grady and Morris were 10 for 15 from the field, everyone else 10 for 48. That is on the guards not the big men.

I have been critical of Van Vleet but I agree it ultimately is on Marshall. Van Vleet just wants to win, probably too much, and thinks he and Baker can get that done. We have to play as a team to be successful and that is how we played much of the season but for some reason Marshall let Van Vleet go crazy this weekend. Hopefully they can get that worked out in the next week and a half.

Absolutely. The argument that we don't have productive bigs doesn't make sense. We quit going to them in the second half. Instead choosing to pull them away from the basket on fruitless pick and rolls. Plus Grady got in foul trouble which was bogus.

                        • McDuffie has totally lost his 3pt shot. Over the last 14 games, he is 5-30 (.166) and the last 8. 1-16 (.063). However, inside the arc over the 14 games he was 26-50 (.520) and last 8, 16-30 (.533). For the season, 3pt .309, 2pt .504. How often he shoots the 3 has remained pretty consistent at about 38%.

Brown has simply been inconsistent most of the season from 3 and his .300 from 3pt is awful. He shoots 53% of his shots from three. I'm sure his number of dunks builds up his 2pt % at .643 for the season, but it appears he needs more of a 2pt game added to his game to reduce the number of 3s shot. He has shot 45% of his 3s over the last 9 games or 28% of his season at a .277 clip.

Frankamp's number of 3s have gone the other direction. Over his last 8 games or 32% of his season, he has shot only 22% of his total 3s.

                            • KU had the worst RPI differential lost in history a couple seasons ago. Teams loose.
