In the home loss to UNI the Shockers' FG Pct. was 30.3, the lowest in any game this season. The six lowest FG Pct. games for the Shox all resulted in losses, including the three in Florida plus Tulsa and the ILSt. loss. The defense will be there. If the shots go down, WSU wins.

We hit 30% in that home loss and still came within 3 points of pulling it out. I will take the Shockers and give the points.

Mike Kennedy reported on the pre-game show that Ben Jacobson said they would not let Ron and Fred beat them today. Someone else will need to step up and beat them.

Some guy named K.D. with a very strong effort for dumbest pre-game fan call of the year. He said he would hang up and listen. Mike said well if you are listening you probably won't like what I am going to say.

The caller said he thought Fred got hurt early in the game yesterday, based on Fred walking the ball up slowly. He went on to say he shouldn't be playing since he is hurt. Mike said categorically he is not hurt.

K.D. called in and stated that the Shocks can only run as fast as Fred runs and that Fred never walks the ball up the court but that is all he did against Loyola. Then he said that tells him that Fred re-injured his hamstring probably on opening tip and should not be playing because he was injured.

Mike very pointedly disagreed. Fred often walks the ball up the court and he is not hurt although they are very careful with taking care of his hamstring.

Basically said he thinks Fred is hurt. And Fred shouldn't be playing if he is hurt because it's bad for the team. Said Fred seemed slow yesterday.

I predict this Duquesne vs St Lewis women's game goes into overtime.

That is currently airing on CBS sports
