Here is a good one. FVV #23, goes in and lays his second 'picture perfect alley' in a row and MM smashes it home for the 67-44 lead which happens to be a 23 point lead. So we have an 'All American star of the here and now' passing to a future All American star of our bright future and present stud for a nice 23 point surpass.

That play made me think of the phraseology of Cliff "Good News" Livingston" many moons ago speaking on the tube saying "All the Way--to the NC2A!!!!!!!

Was a little nervous after the first few threes they hit. But I figured they would eventually cool off and we ran away with it.

Impossible to say what these guys have meant to the program, university, and the Wichita community. What a great afternoon.

Congrats on the win, guys. It was a good fight for the first 12 mins, then it was all you guys after that. Sure the refs were whistle happy but you won't hear any foul complaints from this guy. We got our butts kicked where it counted---rebounds and 2nd chance points. I was hoping we'd keep it within 10 but your guys were (rightfully) extra amped up for this one and it showed. Great performance on the floor and in the crowd with a great atmosphere. Best of luck from here on out, unless/until we meet in STL of course lol---and then obviously in the Big Dance where all Redbird fans will be pulling for you (that I can safely say!)

Years ago Larry Bird who always showed up early to shoot around before games did so again and finally left when a younger showed up to do this and see it for himself. Larry was already done when this happened. Likewise today, they said on the radio that FVV showed up early to shoot around with some players like Peyton Allen to shoot around and was draining them. Then the game started and he just kept scoring until he has around 16 points, was and was it 9 assists. He also, for good measure, draws 2 fouls on McIntosh who was good today which included his 5th foul.

Redbird fans were crowing about Paris Lee and how much better he was in the last game than FVV and how he will get POY next Season. Some of them wanting the Big E. with Evansville to get POY this Season. This shant happen because we have a 4 game spread versus the 2nd place team. When I hear such fables, I think of sour grapes or sweet lemons with foes that refuse to give our beloved Shocks the credit we have earned.

He is playing more consistent at a time we really will need it.

How about this. MM gets pushed hard from a redbird player but keeps his cool as Cotton did receiving the high karate kick. Don't these birds know our Freshmen might be tasked with some undercover spying detail? I loved how Kelly and Grady intervened to prolly mention "how the cow ate the cabbage." Then on the next play, Grady assumes his spot for a free throw rebound down low where still another meeting of the birds was being conducted. Grady gives them the cold stare as if to say "If you want privacy, you will have to move on birds because I am NOT moving!!!!!!! Loved it!!!!!!!
