This is the sort of stuff that can be the straw that breaks the camel's back with regards to season ticket or individual game purchase decisions, come a subpar season or two. Ultimately, to the majority, attending a college basketball game is simply a choice of entertainment dollars spent. The actual team on the court has been the reason to come regardless the past 5-10 years, but if an average team was playing, coupled with the poor current in-game stuff, you end up with a product that is not the least bit compelling to the average person.
I've long thought the reason for the poor in-game and audio/video stuff was a result of WSU having something for which demand greatly exceeds supply. That's exactly the scenario in a free market where incentive to improve or even maintain is lost.
