If the bigs could make bunnies, he'd have about 40 more assists this year. ;-)

Perhaps the experts are penalizing Fred for playing in the MVC? They've probably convinced themselves that any upper tier PG would look like an 1st Team All-American playing against that level of competition. While Fred has demonstrated success against the best college teams in the past, the voters may be saying we didn't get to see him play against upper level teams in the non-con and now he's dominating in a crap mid-major conference. Definitely not fair to Fred.

Then how do you explain the guy from Oakland? A team that's 15-8 and in the Horizon league. I know you're just trying to find some kind of explanation here, but there is none. It's total nonsense.

Edit: Ok after looking him up he does have some impressive stats this season. 25 ppg and 8.8 assists per game, but 3.5 TOs. But you still can't really use the thought that Fred's in a weaker league and should be penalized.

Fred, Ron, and the rest of the Shocker players would put up similar numbers in any league they play in. They have proven that with there body of work over the years. Probably have scarier offensive numbers in the offensive minded biG 12. It's more of a bias toward players who are more offensive, not taking into account the complete aspects of the game, steals, rebounds, DEFENSE, floor burns, teamwork, being a leader and making the players around you look better. Fred should be on it, period.

I wonder if Barry thinks Fred is a top 10 Pg

Barry is the only Valley coach that voted for Fred. Unreal. Just how much do the other Valley coaches hate WSU? They need to deal with it.
About time to go get that net in St Louis

                  That was a Barry joke.

                  The coaches don't vote.

Demetrius Jackson puts up 6 points in a loss to Miami.
Melo Trimble extremely impressive in a 3 assist 4 turnover performance against NEBRASKA

So far, in 3 days since announcing the list, those on the list have compiled an impressive 3-5 record.

Meanwhile (in case you missed it), one FVV drops a pts/ast double-double on everyone's head in a 20 point win.

You can't make this **** up.

Fred wasn't perfect against SIU (a couple of uncharacteristic FT misses and one bad pass). I would have to rate his game last night as merely magnificent.

Which is only about a B game for him.

                            This is fun ...

Put Brown/ Beane/ or Balentine on a team that has Wichita talent and they would put up better numbers than he does NIGHTLY on the offensive end. IMHO
