We've beat the likes of Indiana, Ohio State, Kansas, Gonzaga, Alabama, Utah, Iowa and Tennessee in RB's and FVV's tenure here, losing to a school that is as big as my high school senior class would be embarrassing and unthinkable. As long as the Shox don't underestimate them and play down to the level of their competition, we win by 17.

This is one game where Vegas will (smartly) stray from the projections. Wichita State -6 or -7 is a solid guess. I'll go -8 opening and settling around -11 by game time.

It's a very long drive; when I went with some friends we drove from here to St. Louis and spent the night there, then drove the rest of the way the next day. Evansville has a casino on the riverfront downtown. Next to it is a mall with several restaurants. The Ford Center is nothing fancy but it is a nice facility, but does not have the atmosphere we're used to!

I doubt it, shox will prob open as a 2 or 3 point fav at most. If the shox open at 8 then bet the house on them....at 8 vegas is begging for eville money

I think this becomes the obvious biggest speed bump, so attention will be total for WSU....BUT I also think that even the very best teams have inexplicable nights. I'd take a one point win and call it great.

UNI also had a point guard that played good in many games that year and their 7 foot center made a couple of 3's in that game that left a mark if I recall. Sometimes these Valley teams do not cooperate with the odds at the Dance. Paper is paper which is why we play the game.

How about the Season 4 Valley teams made the Dance and Commentators were croaking like a bullfrog in a hailstorm? If I recall, 2 of us went on to make the Sweet 16. Southwest Missouri State, as they were called then, felt neglected when they wanted in the Dance too, but did not make the final cut. Fun times then, and more to follow.

There is an Irish Pub across the parking lot from the casino. Good food and have run into a couple of Shockers there.

Ms Atl loves the Donut Bank for breakfast, several locations. Liked it so much she had to bring back a commemorative cup that she has on her desk at work.
