Here is the way I remember KU versus the Valley at the Dance. We beat them twice, Evansville beat them once, Bradley beat them once, but S. Illinois lost to them by around 7 in a hard fought game. That would make the Valley 4 wins to KU's 1. Got your point but wanted to bring all this up, just for fun.

It's a very long drive; when I went with some friends we drove from here to St. Louis and spent the night there, then drove the rest of the way the next day. Evansville has a casino on the riverfront downtown. Next to it is a mall with several restaurants. The Ford Center is nothing fancy but it is a nice facility, but does not have the atmosphere we're used to!

We're doing the same for travel - making it to STL tonight, then to Evansville Sat night. Thanks for the info.

Here's the deal: If I could stomach sitting next to an Evansville fan, I would've already sold these for 50 or 60 bucks apiece. But I would rather not sell them at all and eat the 30 bucks apiece than do that.

Making the trip... anyone been to Evanscille and have any dining or other recommendations? Anyone else making the drive? Going to make for a painful Monday morning at work after a long drive home.

Dining recommendations: Avoid the Tropicana Casino Buffet. It's overpriced.

Turoni's is good and its about a mile from the Ford Center.

There are several watering holes by the arena itself but haven't eaten at any of them

During our game at Evansville, I anticipate UNI to thump SIU at Cedar Falls. UNI is due a solid home win after such surprising wins early on, followed by a downward spiral of losses that were also unexpected. Thus, a needed tough road win for us at Evansville and then SIU has to visit us at Koch Arena. This scenario of wins for us would put us in a very nice spot in the Valley free for all. Isn't this Valley trek exciting and fun?

I agree. UNI is still going to finish outside of Thursday in the MVC. They are about to wreck the standings for some of the less powerful upper half teams. I just have a hard time believing they are this bad. I'm still assuming they hit a terrible rough patch and still have some wins coming their way.

We are 9th in the country in bench minutes, they are 323. The gap between these two teams will continue to widen the farther we get through the season. 77-65.
