Agree. Proud of the Sunrise kids. Zach is special though. I love that kid.

I remember before his freshman season started ZB's Dad was quoted in a Kansas.com article that he was convinced that his son was born a Shocker. From that moment I've known that Zach is a special kid.

Food for thought...ZB and MM (along with help from RB) have held the two top scorers in the MVC (who are Seniors) to 9 of 31 from the field! I'd say the future is very bright.

Zach is pretty darn poised young man. He is going to do great things as a Shocker. I love that he had utmost respect for Ron and Fred. He knows his time will come.

True story. The first time I ever seen ZB playing here in a summer scrimmage, I went immediately to someone 'in the know' there to learn exactly who he was. There used to be a time where it was not that popular for players we want here to be Shockers. Now, we have top 100 players, local and in-state players, and overlooked players, that Want to be Shockers!!!

EU looked pretty good the other night, but I thought we looked equally as bad. They probably have the inside track for 2nd, so maybe more realistically SIU has the chance to challenge for 3rd. Who else looks better than them? UNI? Nope? Illinois State? Hell no. Indiana State? Well maybe. They might be doing their whole tank in the non-con, let's get hot in the conference thing again.

WSU is just that much better than the rest of the Valley, even on the road. SIU is a decent team. It's just we did what MSN Saluki said to do. We shut down Beane. If teams can shut him down, SIU falls back. We might be the only team capable of doing that. UNI sure as hell couldn't stop him. We'll see what Evansville and Indiana State can do. They're definitely improved overall, this game not withstanding.

                ... No really, deuces.

Not much to get excited about when you get totally dominated. I agree though. That was the quietest sellout I've ever seen.

                    • If anyone stumbles upon some video highlights from today, I'd much appreciate it. The biggest problem I have with these CBSSN games is that it's so much harder to find post game content than anything run by ESPN.

                          • Interesting stat of the game. SIU had only 2 (yes 2) assists w/ 17 turnovers. That's 3 out 4 MVC games where the other team has had a negative assist to turnover. EU was close to being 4 for 4 in the Valley, but they had 14 assists and 13 turnovers.

                            • Any questions?

Wonder how beatable we still look to all the other Valley teams?

Wonder how many of our players shouldn't make the All-MVC team because they don't average as many points as Beane and Balentine?

Like FVV, when others came looking, ZB stayed loyal.
