I am rooting for the clock. So far the clock is winning.

Other than the clock, I am pulling for Syracuse.

    Syracuse RPI #61
    Pittsburgh RPI #58

Then for Syracuse to lose to North Carolina.

              The waffling continues.

WSU has continued to rise up the ladder after its loss to UNI and every possible mid major conference tournament going awry.

First, it's Palm. Now, it's this guy.

                2. Andrew Logue also covered Drake this year - I believe he saw more Drake games in person than UNI games
                3. The Rag didn't even send anyone to Arch Madness. The story they used for their website/print edition was a story by a Southern Illinois student reporter which had wrong names on photo captions.
                4. The Rag ignores UNI except when it wants to find a story to tear down UNI's athletic budget, in which they ignore 100% of the actual facts. So much so that UNI has actually cut media access off to the Rag multiple times. Going back to the S16 season the Rag hadn't sent a person to one UNI game all year and then requested access for multiple people in the S16. They were told no and they threw a major fit about it on TV and in print.

Just for some extra insight into that article/tweet/writer. You can do as you wish with it.

As for the conference affiliation thing, I have some insight from the UNI side - especially with a new AD in town - that would be interesting to see WSU's reaction on. Though I'm not sure this is the thread for it. UNI is much closer to WSU's thoughts on the conference than you want to believe, difference is UNI has learned not to bite the "hand the feeds" so to speak without having a landing spot already in place. If what I'm hearing is true there could be a shake up in the next few years

I think you guys are arrogant homers to the nth degree, but to a large extent it's been earned. I'll keep my thoughts on Marshall to myself. However, this place is a fun read.

Oh, but you're totally spot on with Casey's General Store being a major player in the conspiracy to keep WSU down...
For the record, I've got nothing specific against supporters of UNI. In fact, I met a couple of pretty cool cats at the tourney that will probably come to Wichita and attend a game with me sometime in the next couple years. Also for the record, I've never liked Casey's. :)

                          • Half a dozen threads now talking bracketology. Fervid fans spanning the spectrum from passionate paranoia to calculated confidence. Damn, I love alliteration! Anyway, still four days to Selection Sunday and while this is fun, it's all based on speculation by media "experts." I'll be as happy as anyone if WSU is selected, and just as peeved if they're snubbed. But I think I'll take some time off from the bracketology and just wait for the bracket.

                            • Random thought ...

I keep thinking the fact that pretty much every #1 seed in a mid major conference lost their conference tournament is a bad bad thing for WSU. Now the more I think about it ... is that really the case?

If the majority of the #1 seeds (regular season champs) that have been well known and have close resumes throughout the year made it in with an auto-bid, I actually think it would have been more likely for them to leave WSU out. There are 4 or 5 big names, that have been making noise all year (or multiple years). WSU, St. Marys, Valpo, Monmouth, and even Hofstra kind of. If all of them made it in but WSU, I think the committee might be more likely to hand the extra bubble spots to a P5 bubble team because there is already quite a few solid mid-major teams that won their regular season. The fact that the majority of the mid-majors that got auto-bids are not elite teams, means they will all probably be out in the first or seconds rounds and be 12-16 seeds. WSU has the best resume out of the 4 or 5 mid-major bubble teams, and not sure its close. So I have a feeling they will be more likely to cut a lower end P5 Bubble team or two and include 1 or 2 of these regular season conference champions instead in an effort to reward the regular season.

Just my random thoughts, I know the committee isn't supposed to care what conference etc etc and just look at resumes, but we know that isn't true.

Really should get on board with it. UNI has 2 Casey's logos on it's courts (on the OOB area in front of each bench), and it's one of the biggest sponsors for UNI with banners in all venues and every broadcast. It really helps:victorious:

On topic, I'd like to see WSU get in because it helps branding the league. Not because UNI needs the money like some other schools, though extra money never hurts
